Sophie Donaldson

Sophie qualified as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of South Wales, where she received awards for both Leadership and Graduate of the Year. Her interest in chiropractic began when she witnessed various family members gain huge benefit from chiropractic treatment, ranging from sporting injuries to chronic back pain. Seeing how chiropractic could help so many different people, from all walks of life, ultimately led Sophie to pursuing a career as a chiropractor.

Sophie enjoys treating a range of patients and conditions, including pregnancy care, with a special interest in the treatment of athletes and sporting injuries. She uses a variety of techniques during treatments to reach the best possible outcome for her patients, and she is eager to add more skills to her toolbox through additional studies.

Having gained her International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic, Sophie is a member of the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic. Through this she travelled to Kosovo to work with the European Muay Thai Championships in 2024. Sophie is also a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors, and sits on the Student and New Graduate Committee for the British Chiropractic Association. Alongside private practice, Sophie works in partnership with Wilmslow Rugby Club as part of their training and match day medical team. She has also recently started (attempting) to play cricket!

Through her thorough approach to treatment, Sophie aims to reduce pain and return patients to optimal function, as well as preventing the recurrence of injuries. She believes this, as well as encouraging patients to take an active role in their recovery, is vital to maintaining both physical and mental health.
