Headaches & Migraine

Headaches are symptoms of pain anywhere in the head or neck. They can be migraine, tension type, or cluster in nature.

Headaches can affect concentration, energy levels, and activities of daily living.

Headaches are rarely serious and often go away on their own. However, if you have headaches regularly, it can negatively impact on your family life, social activity and even your ability to work. Figuring out their cause can be the first step towards reducing or even preventing them.

Cervicogenic headaches are a type of headache that arise from the neck. They are most commonly caused by significant tightness/restriction of the joints and muscles, although issues such as a herniated disc or arthritis, can also trigger them.

Chiropractic can be very effective in reducing headaches by improving the range of motion of the joints and loosening the muscles, helping to reduce the frequency and severity of cervicogenic headaches. Most treatment will usually be alongside guidance on home stretches, rehabilitation exercises & ergonomic advice.
